Senior Tax Staff Accountant – 3-5 Years Experience Required

Your day-to-day duties will include preparing tax returns and advising clients on structuring deals and entities for tax minimization, all while taking pride in your work and becoming an invaluable resource to our local community.

Qualifications
- Must have strong technology skills and be proficient with all aspects of Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge and experience with Thomson Reuters suite of software, QuickBooks Online, Bill.com & ReceiptBank is a plus
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to listen effectively
- Work well under pressure; able to meet deadlines with accuracy
- Ability to learn processes quickly and apply that knowledge to engagements
- Team player with a desire to be an active participant within the organization
- Have a strong desire to maintain a customer service approach, focused on exceeding expectations in all areas
- Strong knowledge of tax laws/Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
- At least 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is preferred
- Must have CPA license or be eligible to sit for the CPA exam
Responsibilities
- Prepare/review federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership tax returns, including exercising professional judgment with respect to issue identification.
- Research tax issues and legislation and interpret tax code
- Preparation and review of tax planning and projection projects.
- Interact with client personnel regarding tax return information, deadlines, etc. and keep the team informed on status
- Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients
- Keep current on professional announcements and proactively participate in professional development opportunities
- Initiate and develop a relationship with appropriate levels of the client’s management team
- Provide training to co-workers on technical accounting areas or areas of tax expertise
- Additional responsibilities, not listed above may be expected as needed
